Currently, this can only be completed through the website, not the mobile app.
There are two steps to changing the unlock code of a lock. First, you will need to have the lock in hand. On the back of the lock you will find a screw to turn when the lock is unlocked and open. It will look like this:
When the lock is open, just turn the screw to the unlocked position (horizontal). Once turned, change the combination on the front of the lock to anything you wish. When you are happy, simply turn the screw back to the locked position.
Secondly, in the DaVinci Lock software you will have to edit the unlock code. In the edit window for a lock you will see an unlock code display. Next to this display is an Edit button.
This button will only be clickable if the lock is in an unassigned status: Available, Lost, or Damaged.
Once clicked, you can edit the unlock code to any 4-digit number. Then click on Update to save your changes.
If you decide you don't want to change the unlock code you can click the Edit button again to cancel the unlock code change.
Finally, you will have to confirm that you really want to change the unlock code.
The only way the unlock code will be changed is if you click on Yes to confirm the change. If you click on No then the unlock code will remain the same, but any other changes will be made.
You can edit the unlock code while assigning a lock in one action. However, to edit the unlock code, the lock must be unassigned first. This is to prevent accidental changing of the unlock code while a lock is still on a unit's door.
If you have changed the unlock code accidentally you can see the lock's logs with a client call center account and be able to see the entire history of the lock including any unlock code changes.
