To gain access to a unit, three conditions must be met:
- The user of the customer portal has to know the company and the facility at which the tenant is renting a unit.
- After entering in their email or phone number, the customer portal verifies the tenant by sending the account holder a text with a verification code that the user of the site must enter to gain access. The user must have the phone on them or otherwise have access to the phone. If verification fails, the user will not be able to access the site any further.
- If and only if the tenant is delinquent, they must pay the full balance on their account, for all units. If they do not wish to, then the customer portal will not provide any unlock codes to the tenant.
If all three conditions are satisfied, then the tenant can access the unlock code for their unit. This code is sent to the account holder via SMS or email.
